We are realtors in Hernando County, and when a property priced right comes on, we can't get our offer in time. For example, an "approved short sale" came back on the market at a great price;we called two customers; met the first one within an hour; called to say we were putting an offer in, and we were told there were two other offers already.
Yesterday we showed a foreclosure property which needed a lot of work in Beacon Woods, Pasco County, and the customer wanted to put an offer in. By the time we got the offer in, we received a "multple offer form" telling us there were multiple offers and come back with your "highest and best".
Last week another couple had the same situation; lost the bid and were disappointment. But all was not lost! The person whose bid was accepted could not continue with the purchase and it came back around again to everyone. We raised our bid againa dn we WON!! Sometime you win if you hang in there.
The unfortunate or fortunate part (depends on how you look at it) is that there are not that many properties any more.
Make sure you have a realtor that is waiting in the wings when a property comes up. Your realtor has to have a "good feel about what you are looking for" and they will eventually match you up with that property.
