I woke up this morning, got my cup of coffee and let my dogs out (two toy poodles) in the back, and realized how lucky I am living in Weeki Wachee, Florida.

My husband and I moved here from Long Island six years ago and except for the summer months, it is the best place ever! It is cool in the morning (like Springtime in Long Island); and like early summer in the afternoon and then again springtime in the evening. It has those beautiful smells of early spring and early summer that I remember, and I know I will not see that dreadful word "snow" any time.

We are going to head up for the holidays to get our fill of the cold and will be back to the beautiful weather. My friend who still lives in Long Island prays for the day she can move down here.

Besides the weather, there is a lot to do in Hernando County (Spring Hill, Brooksville, Weeki Wachee) and you never have to worry about the weather.
