The fight for Governor in Florida
October 21, 2010

Ex-president, Bill Clinton stood by Alex Sink at a rally in Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida in an effort to aid her in obtaining the Governor seat in the November 2, 2010 election. Running against Republican Rick Scott, a political rookie, the attack ads as well as the debate earlier this week has turned this race into a "slander fest."

According to Bill Clinton, "If you look at her opponent's ads or if you watched that debate last night, it's obvious that only one of them knows a thing about state government, He can't win a debate so he spends a fortune telling us she's an Obama liberal." Jab after jab Scott evaded many of Sinks attacks and returned by linking Sink to President Obama by calling her "failed fiscal watchdog" while all the time never looking at her even once.

Sink has maintained office as the State of Florida Chief Financial Officer since 2006, which somehow Scott has turned into a negative by calling her a "Tallahassee insider", while Sink counters with an ad accusing Scott of a Medicare fraud fine of $1.7 billion.

Arm and arm, Sink and Clinton, waved from the stage in Miami. "He presided over the strongest economy in my lifetime," Sink said. "He's a person whom I respect and admire, and I am pleased to have him here today speaking for me."
