The Road to Paradise is potholed and graffiti filled!

Yes, it's true. The road to Paradise is quite full of pot holes, narrow lanes, no lines and of course, graffiti. Paradise is a City in California, in Butte County. It can also be reached by more conventional roads such as 'The Skyway'. But, for me, it really is best traveled to along the Honey Run Road.

The Honey Run Covered Bridge is the first stop along the way.

The Honey Run Covered Bridge has had a varied and long life. It started back in 1894 when the bridge was built. A gold dredge was installed under it to dredge the river bed and collect gold nuggets. Some of the remnants of this dredge are set as a historic item along with a small placard by the bridge.

From there the Bridge and it's surrounding area, has evolved into a gathering area for families, parties and weddings. There is a wonderful river side area that offers picnic tables and BBQ grills. The bridge itself can be rented out for catered special occasions.

Honey Run Road is a throw back road to the days when wagon trains carried gold ore and supplies back and forth between Gridley, CA and Paradise Ca. It has been paved since then but it is quite the stretch to call it a road by today's normal definition. There are several residential homes accessed from Honey Run Road. These range from farms of varying degrees of success to formal estate homes, perched atop the canyons rim.

Honey Run Road is scenic though not well maintained. It is not recommended for vehicles over 25 feet and has low clearance in places from tree branches and power lines. There are several sharp switchback like turns. RV's are not recommended. These things said, Honey Run Road offers a nice, albeit bumpy, drive through the woods around Butte Creek Canyon, CA. Views of the Butte Creek Canyon are amazing as well as glimpses of the residential homes along the ridge.

As you ascend, the road winds in and out of the Canyon, offering views of wildlife as well. Places to pull over are rare, so take advantage of the ones you do find.

Near the end of the road to Paradise, CA, you will notice the graffiti begins. Awwww, you may think, but NO! It's actually quite nice and affirming. I've included a few of my favorites here for you to view.

Maintain a list of words or phrases that suit your market. When you blog, try to use the words on your list in your blog post as seen in this example.

I'll leave you with these thoughts. In this article you should note that I used the proper place names including the State in some cases. I also tried to use my key words as often as I could residential, home, house, estate. I also used 'common' names for places or roads as sometimes this is what people hear first as they travel around town Skyway for example, in this case, is expressed, locally as Take the Skyway so those new in town may not have any idea where the skyway is or that it is , in fact, a road. Offering insider tips like this to your readers (future customers) can be a great boon to those who come in to your town and want to not be seen as new in your town. This also serves to create a connection, as people will remember where they learned that and this will re-affirm to them, that YOU are the right choice!
