The state of Florida was hit hard by the real estate crisis, especially within the home building industry. Between the years of 2005 - 2007, the housing boom resulted in an overabundance of empty houses.  Today home builders are gearing up for prosperity near the larger cities across the state, hiring employees, buying up property and even selling homes, according to CNNMoney.  

The homes will be a little different than the homes of the housing boom, times are changing and potential homebuyers aren't looking to purchase the over priced mini-mansions with all the trimmings.  Today's real estate market consists of first-time homebuyers looking for the tax credit and Florida's winter retirees who are able to afford the houses in Florida once more.

The inventory is shrinking again and homes need to be built to replace the ones that sell in an effort to keep the inventories from getting too low.  Don't get me wrong, Florida's real estate is not where it used to be, however the silver linings around Florida's fluffy clouds are becoming visible once more!
