Now Tommy's wife Vicky, and her business partner serve up the very best Italian cuisine in Hernando County at Cara Mia Restaurant, 3429 Deltona Blvd Spring Hill, FL.

Today, after a long and productive day selling real estate, keeping deals on track and may I add, being very hungry, I thought I would pay tribute to my friends Tommy and Vicky Mara.

I arrived tonight, just in time, about 5:15. While open for just a few weeks in a tight economy with tough competition, the place was packed by 5:30. I ordered up a veal parmigiana. It was perfect, friends. The marinara was light, yet well defined and mildly complex. The veal was fresh, tender and lightly breaded. The pasta of course, aldente’.

The ambiance was more than what I expected. Sinatra or Dino's memories wafted in. James Gandolfini would love it. I felt a very classy; it has a understated, central Italy feel to the place.

Many of Tommy and Vicky's friends and fans were there out of respect, like myself, and now impressed with the food. I’m hooked! I think you will be too. It was great! Cara Mia is a hit. And you do not have to be from Brooklyn or like doo-wop to appreciate the finest Italian food at moderate prices in Hernando County Florida.
