According to experts the housing market is expected to remain in disrepair for years to come. However, not all markets are equally troubled; some markets are expected to see improvement while others will continue to struggle with foreclosures, high mortgage rates and distressed properties.
Rick Sharga of RealtyTrac expects to see over 3 million homeowners receiving foreclosures notices this year and over a million homes being repossessed by the end of the year. While home sales are being held up due to the robo-signing scandal, those numbers could go even higher.
A survey conducted by Harris Interactive last month, concluded that nearly 1 out of every 5 consumers believe it to be 2015 before housing recovery begins to take place.
