Main Street has a great open market where they close the street on Saturdays. Local produce is sold, as well as other items, however, the shopkeepers are saying, people can't get to their stores because of the street closure. They started a petition, as well as the farmers market operators.

This seems like a problem for all involved. The farmers market people have told the shopkeepers they will let them have a stand near them to sell their goods. One shopkeeper was opposed because he said his goods are worth too much! I personally like to see fresh produce and see our farmers making a living too! If the shopkeepers can't play nice, then maybe they should suffer the consequences.

Anybody have another suggestion? The city officials will be looking into the matter.
