Myrtle Beach has given us the last of the bike week because of complaints from local residences and businesses, about noice and violence. There is usually 500,000 bikes that come to Myrtle Beach and bikers spend money.

I think this community is going to be sorry. Bikers do spend money and they get a bad rap. When Myrtile Beach sees the amount of money they will lose next year because of this, they will be kicking themselves.

They say it is the high end resorts, restaurants and golf courses that experience a hit during this period. I guess we know what class of people they would prefer! I bet they don't spend as much money as 500,000 motorcyclists.

I live in the Weeki Wachee, Spring Hill, Florida area and would love to see them come here and raise our economy. My husband and I are bikers and are not noisy or violent; we just enjoy the fresh air and feelign of calm on our Harley.
