In early March of this year, President Obama released criteria for the Making Home Affordable program, intended to keep millions of homeowners to keep their homes through refinanced mortgages or loan modifications. This is especially helpful for homeowners hardest hit in Hernando County Florida.

Those that will comply will owe between 80-105% of their original mortgage. Statistics show that nearly one fourth of mortgage holders, or about fifteen million homeowners, currently can qualify to refinance their homes under these conditions. If you owe more than 105% of your homes current market value, unfortunately those homeowners do not qualify.
