Inventory Low This Season at Stores
November 17, 2009

I had read an article in Sunday's St. Pete Times that retailers were not going to stock up this year. I went shopping yesterday, and it didn't hit me until I got home later that evening, that they were right on.

I went to Beall's in Spring Hill in the morning, purchased a few items, but what I was going to purposely purchase was a comforter that was "on sale". I found it but they did not have the size I was looking for. The salesperson was helpful and looked in their "BOSS" system to order it, but I would have to pay an $18.00 shipping fee. I said can't you ship it to the store for free because they do have that service, but this item did not qualify for it? We could but we would still need to charge you $18.00, or she could call another store and if they have it in stock, I would haved to go and pick it up. I told her I didn't think so and left.

In the evneing my husband and I went to Office Depot in Spring Hill/Brooksville to look at desk chairs. We had already looked at Staples, Sam's and various other places in the area and the pickings were slim. We found one in Office Depot that I liked, took the ticket to the counter to be told "that's out of stock, but if you come back Wednesday, we might have it". You might want to call first. The store was empty and they don't have product - how do they expect to make it?

What happened to customer service? In these times, they really need customer service. I find fantastic customer service at Publix Glen Lakes store and Pinch A Penny on Northcliffe; other than that, nothing special!

I know in my business customer service sets you apart from the rest!

We will always keep you posted.

Have a great day and enjoy!
