Home prices are continuing to fall in Daytona Beach, Volusia County, Florida, declining 19% last month. This drop in prices is having a direct impact on home sales, bringing them up 20%. Due to the phenomenal amount of foreclosures that are clogging the market, homes are selling at incredibly deep discounts. During the first part of 2009, the foreclosure rate in Daytona Beach ranked among the top 20 across the nation, according to Realty.trac.

Marge Allison, president of Daytona Beach Area Association of Realtors, states that "Home values have never been so good, if they (buyers) wait for the bottom, the bottom will be here and gone before they realize it."
