Last month we lost one of our Hernando County Sheriff Department's Captains, Scott Bierweiler was killed in a head on collision auto accident. The outpouring from the Spring Hill Brooksville Florida community was significant.

His funeral was led with a nearly nine mile long motorcade last month on Spring Hill main road Spring Hill Drive. Every county in the state was represented with officers and firefighters. Hillsboro County took over our police duties for the day so our family of Sheriff's Deputies in our county could celebrate the life of Captain Bierweiler.

Our association of Hernando County Realtors through the Gold Foundation presented Captain Bierwieler's widow with expenses and one of our realtors put up a an honor guard from Fair Lawn NJ at his home in Spring Hill.

At the Chamber breakfast this morning in Spring Hill with a few hundred in attendance there were very few dry eyes when a video of our fallen portraying his service to Hernando County was played.
