I was getting nervous because the new Glen Lakes Publix shopping center on US 19 had a sign "Sun Trust Bank Coming Soon" and it has been several months and nothing happened. Guess what - today I saw concrete being poured and contractors - what a great sight; maybe there is going to be movement again and a light at the end of the tunnel!

A great deal of of Hernando's residents counted on employment through new construction and I am slowly seeing it happen again. It was such a dominoe effect - construction stops, employment increases and the country's economy is hurt. As we all know construction brings employment and employment causes us to purchase things and then everybody is in a better place. When we are stagnant, nothing happens and things just get worse.

Hernando County is located 60 miles west of Tampa and the neighborhoods encumbered in Hernando County are Spring Hill, Brooksville and Weeki Wachee. We are located right near the Gulf. I love living here and want to see us happy and prosperous again.
