As part of Realtor Safety and Security Month, Florida Realtors will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the "Largest Business Lesson, Multiple Venues. On September 9th, 2011 the association will be hosting its "Safety and Security Program" with the hopes that 10,000 people will participate in an effort to break the world record.

The record attempt will be connected via satellite to a multitude of state associations, creating a videoconference by using a live broadcast.

According to 2011 Florida Realtors Professional Development Chair Patti Ketcham, For the 21st century Realtor, education is essential, this record attempt will not only provide free education to our members, but also build stronger community ties as Realtors learn side-by-side with their fellow Floridians about how to better ensure their personal safety and security.
