If you are renting, you could probably buy your own home. Think about it - you might as well throw that money out the window. When your purchase something like clothes or a car, you have something in hand, but renting, you will never own that. You need to talk to a mortgage lender and find out if you qualify to purchase a home. It doesn't cost anything to talk to a mortgage lender. If you qualify and you go out with a realtor and find that home, it will make you feel like you have accomplished something in life. It doesn't have to be a huge home, it just has to be yours.
