Florida’s Nature Coast is a beautiful place to live. It’s where the ocean meets the woods. If you love both of these things, you should consider moving to Hernando County. Our county has a variety of things for you to enjoy. There are too many to list, so, I will give you a few.
On the west side of our county, we have the beautiful beach Pine Island. The beach area has plenty of shelters, picnic tables, BBQ grills, volleyball court, a play ground for the little ones and a concession stand that serves really good food. It’s a great place to spend the day. In case you are wondering, our beaches are oil free.
If you prefer water parks, we have Buccaneer Bay. It is a spring fed water park. Everyday more than 117 million gallons of water come out of the spring. It is always a cool 72 degrees. It’s a wonderful way to cool off in the hot August days.
On the East side of our county in Croom, there are miles of motorcycle trails or you can ride your horses on the trails in the Withlacoochee Forest. It’s an outdoorsman’s dream.
If you are tired of the city life, come join us in the country. The pace is alittle slower here.
