Close your eyes and picture Fairway Park in Miramar, Lee County, Florida.  Now picture it full of rows of crunchy fresh veggies and aromatic fresh herbs basking in the sunlight. Well, that's exactly what the future of Fairway Park holds!  By the end of next month, the city plans to break ground on a new Community Garden, bringing opportunities for social interaction, exercise, healthy food and education.

Volunteering to participate in the creation of the Community Garden can be fun for the whole family!  Just complete the 2-minute application and show up at the volunteer meeting at Miramar City Hall at 2300 Civic Place between 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm on April 29th.  Be prepared to commit 2-4 hours a week for next 6 to 12 months, remember you'll reap what you sow!
