
Habitat for Humanity of Hernando is sponsoring a Beach and Splash Bash on Friday & Saturday at the Weeki Wachee State Park in Hernando County. It is on the southwest corner of SR 50 and 19. The Beach Ball is at 6:30 p.m. Friday. It has an "elegant swashbuckler" theme; and the correct dress is bow tie and flip flops; it's semi-formal. The famous Weeki Wachee mermaids will do a performance of "Taste of the Town" with local restaurants' signature cuisine and dancing.
Tickets are $35 (group discounts avaialble). The Splash Bash is 10 - 4 on Saturday at Buccaneer Bay (the waterpark) and includes a celebrity cookoff, cannonball contest and other fun stuff. Discounted admission tickets are avaialble through Tuesday at $15 for adults and $10 for children 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger.
