I sincerely hope that Barak Obama is not thinking of putting another one of his Band-Aids on another severed limb, as he has been doing ever since he became the president. The economic stimulus plan that he originally proposed was too weak and the one he has provided us with has obviously been too weak; with the banks taking the money and doing nothing to help consumers or the economy, as they repaired their books and paid huge bonuses to themselves because the Obama administration, although the taxpayers virtually “own’ these banks, is too afraid to issue them their “marching orders.”

And so the government lenders, most prominently FHA, were pushed or “ordered” to take up the slack by returning to the toxic loans that started us down the road to this mess we are in today, the equivalent of a soldier stepping on a I.E.D. in Afghanistan and getting his legs blown off and the medic begins to treat him by applying Iodine and a Band-Aid, instead of morphine and tourniquets.

And the health care plan that Sen. Max Baucus, a Joe Lieberman style cloned-Democrat, has proposed is a joke, to say the very least; it is a health insurance company’s dream-plan and all because Barak Obama thinks he has to get some Republicans to cross over and support whatever bill he signs, as he did with the stimulus bill, earlier this year.

This is all due to a lack of timing and priority, because if he had done it sooner in the year, he probably would have gotten closer to a single-payer plan, which is what this country needs to join the rest of the World, in what is really a moral choice to provide its citizens, rich and poor alike, with an equal chance of surviving an illness based not only on their assets and income but on the fact that they are human beings who deserve an equal chance at life.

Barak Obama needs to throw away his Band-Aids and get a medical bag if he is to have any chance at all at saving this economy, getting any bills passed, or getting anything done before his first year in office is done.
