Website maintenance is like mowing the lawn. It's a chore that just has to be done if you want it to look good. If you don't it becomes a desert. Along those lines, here are a few items for yourconsideration.

1. Update the Title tag - The title tag works with yourbrowser, it dictates what words get displayed in the browserstab. It is good to mention where you are and what you do in this area. The title tag is arguably, the most important tag on your website.

2. Dothe words on yourfront page talk about where you are located?If not, change that! Letting people know where you do business is a critical part of obtaining customers and search ranking.

3. Take a picture! You have that really cool smart phone! Take some pictures of your market area as you drive around and stick 'em on yourwebsite with a couple words. Works great!

4. Make a list of places to eat around yourarea. Post itto yourwebsite. Why? Becuase folks will appreciate it when they are driving around looking at listings whenthey get hungry. Place your contact information prominantly.

5. Sameas 4 except a list of City Parks or other great places to stop and eat, prefferably close to yourmarket area orfavorita subdivision, and with great views if possible. This should also have your contact information.

6. Change the voice mail mesage on yourphone to include your website. "I'm currently away from my phone, you can visit my website...."

7. Change the "H1" tag on yourhome page. It's a good idea to change things up on a regular basis. Keeps everybody on their toes. Try it!

8. Add some links to yourfront page to subdivisions or specific listings you want to sell.

9. Put together a list of items that would be useful for people when they drive around looking at listings. Things like snacks, drinks, the two other listswe just talked about, kids entertainament ideas, toys for the kids, Do's & Don't's, etc (also with your contact information).

10. Love it! Visit your website on a regular basis and try to see it from the point of view of a customer. Is it easy to find stuff? Can a User search for things and find them easily? If you were looking to purchase a home, would you use your website to do it?

It takes work to gain traffic to your website, you really do have to earn it in today's market. These ideas might help get you started or help move you along. Here's to great success!!
